This guide simplifies the Marriage by Registration (Court Marriage) process under Part-3 of Muluki Civil Code, 2074 (2017).

- Concerned District Court (If the Applicants are in Nepal
- Nepali Embassy or Consulate General (If the Applicants are outside of Nepal
Eligibility Criteria for Marriage in Nepal:

| 1. | Man and Woman should agree to accept each other as husband and wife |
| 2. | Man and woman shouldn’t be relatives punishable by law on incest |
| 3. | Matrimonial Relationship of both the man and the woman does not exist |
| 4. | Both man and woman have attained twenty years of age |
Documents Required for Nepali Citizens to marry in Nepal:

Documents Required for Foreigners who want to marry in Nepal:
